Am missing a couple of first names as they weren't on or in the envelopes, so if anyone wants to clarify, just let me know...and I hope I have spelled everything else correctly; happy to correct if need be; just get in touch.

And I'm adding that there are fabulous things in all of the packages...I've taken a peep!!

contriibutions delivered in person at a show last week

Here are photos of the Flower Power pieces that were dropped off to me on the first day of the Stitches & Craft show at Rosehill last week.

Marilyn has crocheted a beaut flower, plus this fabulous marihuana leaf...I love it!

Jodie did a lovely bright floral scrumble complete with peace symbol.

and Edna brought a box containing 4 gorgeous pieces, with a lot of the crochet, especially on the last 2, done in very fine thread...such a lot of stitches, and they look fabulous

These all photographed just before I left the hotel for the airport, but I will report in again tonight with a list of all the other contributors whose packages are collected from the post office when we get back, and hopefully will be able to get onto doing all the other new photos tomorrow.

a few possible combinations

Here are a few photos that I took before I headed off to a show last week, when I sorted all the scrumbles that had arrived so far, and put similar coloured pieces together.  It was busy show, so I've only just gotten the chance to add them to the blog.

The arrangements in the following photos are probably nothing like the way they actually will be assembled once ALL of the pieces have arrived, but it is interesting to contemplate how everything might fit together.

Do you see any of your own pieces here?

Doesn't it all look amazing?

I am hoping the flight is on time, so that I get back before the post office closes this afternoon, and I can pick up everything that has arrived in my absence.

Am expecting that there will be quite a few new scrumbles amongst the mail.

Once I get the latest packages, I will list the names of the creators of all the new works...but it might take a day or two before I have time to do all the new photos, so you'll just have to be patient with me ;-)

starting to think about the joining

Well, I thought that a few of the blog readers might be going into flower power scrumble withdrawal at the moment, what with me not being able to collect any new packages from the post office at all this week...

so here, for your viewing pleasure, is a photo that I took late last week when I laid some of the pieces out, and I made a bit of a start on the joining.

I was also shuffling other pieces around then, too, sorting them into piles of similar colours, so I possiby I will add a few more pictures in a day or two, too.

The piece above is how all of those scrumbles will stay for the final artwork, but the other photos I will post tomorrow or the next day will not be of any final arrangements ('cause I packed all those other pieces up into lots of bags when I was finished, but without pinning any of them together yet).  Will wait to see what else arrives before I make a final decision on all the other bits.

...but perhaps you will get to see your piece here already in this photo, having fun, and getting to know all its new friends!!

Peace...love...and enjoy!     :-)

Yet another 7 contributions...but a bit of a gap until my next blogpost

Here we have the most recent arrivals; from 7 participants.  quite a few of whom said that they were only new to freeforming (but you'd never guess it by their work).

This time our contributors are:

Lubna Mohacht, Thiene, Italy
Maria Yvell, Skarpnack, Sweden
Jo-Ann Larkins, Moe, Vic, Australia
Marianne Kruse, Billum, Denmark
Lene Thomsen, Bramming, Denmark
Laura Collins, Poole, Dorset, UK
Dianne McDonald, Eugene, Oregon, USA

first up is Lubna's neon scrumble.  Her contribution positively pulsates with psychedelic energy.  Beautiful craftsmanship, and I am guessing that the shops in Italy must be selling some amazing yarns in clean, clear fluro tones; I have never seen such a lovely neon colour palette. This fantastic piece measures 20cm (8") across.

Maria has created two bright and lacy peace symbols, with little flowers and a heart attached.  Really nicely done, and I am really loving the number of peace signs I have been receiving.  Both of these are gorgeous; the larger one measures 14.5cm (5½").

Jo-ann has sent a pretty floral circle; lots of lovely textures in this piece.  I don't often put white in with brighter colours myself, but I really like the contrast of colours in this piece.  It measures 17cm (about 6½").

Marianne and Lene are friends, and their pieces arrived in the same package.  They have created quite different scrumbles, but both of these crocheters have incorporated a little Danish flag in their designs.  Marianne's contribution is very vibrant, with some areas worked in Tunisian crochet.  It measures 16cm (6-and-a-bit inches).

...and Lene's piece has a section of garter stitch knitting at the centre, and she has partly surrounded it with crocheted flowers.  Many of the yarns she has used produce a soft halo, so even though the colours are bright, they all seem to blend together softly.  This one is also about 16cm long (6-and-a-bit again).

Laura has created an interesting scrumbled piece with a large and subtly coloured circle motif that has a bright centre.  She has also sent a small peace symbol, plus an interesting crochet flower with a spiral centre.  The scrumble is about 26cm (10"), and the peace sign just 6cm (2½").

Dianne's contribution finishes off the photos for today.  This is quite a three-dimensional scrumble, with some of the flowers added to the surface, but the yarns she has chosen still make for a lovely soft piece.  She has added crystals and a butterfly button to the centres of a couple of her flowers.  It's about 24cm (9½").

When I get back from the show that I am at this week, I imagine that there will be quite a lot more parcels to open; and a couple of people have said that they will be dropping off their contributions to me at the show here too...

...so expect lots of photos again in about a week.  I'll do my best to blog about them all in a timely manner soon after I get back.
